Return of Serve Transition
  1. Serve – the serve is essentially an underhand drop feed and the technique transfers to a normal groundstroke. Learning the serve will get you well on your way to playing the sport.
  2. Return of serve (second shot) – return technique and footwork is covered in the class
  3. Drops, Drives, Lobs and Drips – these are the third shot skills that are covered in classes
  4. Volley – Fourth shot skills include punch volley, roll volley, overhead, drop volley and angle volley’s.
  5. Dinking – Typically sixth, seventh shots and beyond. Dinking is short rallys at the non-volley (Kitchen) area where each team is trying to keep their ball from being attacked while looking for attack opportunities.

In all the above skills we will address grip constructs, stances, footwork and basic swing mechanics. We will spend time on each of the skills and also incorporate those skills in game based play. We will also provide some home based drills to practice these skills and increase the learning trajectory to get you as competitive as possible so you can get out and enjoy the sport.
