Dynamic Warm up

Walking Forehand Drill
Ready steps, Split, Pivot, Walk and prepare, land and swing, shuffle recovery
5 sets of shadow strokes, then feed 2 balls each and rotate
Walking Backhand Drill
Ready steps, Split, Pivot, Walk and prepare, land and swing, shuffle recovery
Overhead drill
Ready steps, Split, Pivot, prepare, adjust, swing
Volley Drill – Forehand and Backhand
-Slight turn sideways, use the outside foot to push off and step with the opposite foot. Keep the elbow in front of the body with a slight push with the hand to contact
Volley drill – 3 ball drill
-Running drill from netpost, feed 3 balls starting with forehand side, then switch to opposite net post and do backhand volley side
Catch and drop hit drill (Forehand)
Start in the middle, hand feed a ball and have the player catch trap the ball on the strings, then immediately drop feed.
Running Forehand Drill
-Start in the middle baseline, feed to the singles sideline, player should be on a full run to contact. One ball cross court, one ball down the line.
Transition Forehand Drill
V drill – into the court-out of the court forehand and backhand
Serve progression
-Toss in the proper stance and catch with tossing hand extended to the sky.
-Toss and trophy- toss the ball and raise the racquet head to the sky
-Toss, trophy, serve – toss the ball, trophy position and
